Dear Residents at 392 - Village on the Park
Re: Carpet Replacement in Common Areas
As you are all aware the carpet in all the common areas was recently changed. During this process it was noticed that there was a color flaw in some areas of the carpet and now the majority of the carpet needs to be removed and reinstalled. The replacement of the carpet is set to start Thursday October 1st and will take approximately 7 working days.
The contractors will work as quickly as they can to ensure that the residents of Village on the Park are not inconvenienced for any longer than necessary. As much as possible, residents and visitors are asked to allow the contractors the space and independence they need to complete their work.
The project will consist of removing the old carpet and installing the new. During the installation phase, the contractors will knock on each door. If you are at home, and if it is not an inconvenience for you, the installers will tuck the hallway carpet under the unit door to transition with the flooring in your unit. This is a quick and easy process and takes only a few minutes.
After all of the carpets have been replaced, the contractors will set a date to complete the carpet installation under the doors of the units where access was not previously available. Residents will be advised of this date in advance. For that date, residents will need to be at home, or provide a key to open their door. Instructions will be provided to units that the process of tucking the carpet relates to. At the end of the final installation date, if there are still doorways where carpet installation has not been completed, the Condo Corporation will engage a locksmith, at the unit owner’s cost, to gain access.
In order to prolong the life of the carpet, residents are asked to be especially careful to avoid walking on the carpet with heavily soiled footwear. Spills should be reported to the Property Manager so it can be cleaned immediately, before stains can set in. Pets must be leashed inside and outside of the building. Responsible pet owners will ensure that pets are taken out to go to the bathroom well in advance of having an “accident” indoors.
The replacement of carpet in a four-storey building is a large job. Thank you in advance for your patience and consideration for the contractors during this time. Please look past the construction to how much better the building will look once the carpet replacement has been completed.
